Arul Varma, is an officer of the Delhi Higher Judicial Services. He was promoted to the Delhi Higher Judicial Services (DHJS) in 2020, and served as Addl. District & Sessions Judge dealing with Electricity matters, as Special Judge NDPS cases, as Secretary, Delhi High Court Legal Services Committee and is currently posted as a Officer on Special Duty/ Registrar in the Supreme Court of India. He is a graduate in law from Campus Law Centre, Faculty of Law, Delhi University and completed LL.M from Indian Law Institute, New Delhi. A prolific speaker, he has been engaged with myriad issues ranging from juvenile justice to rights of women & children, refugee rights, rights of arrestees, combating drug menace etc. and has addressed a wide range of participants including children, lawyers, prosecutors, police officers, judges and the public at large. He has written and published articles on juvenile justice issues, investigation in NDPS cases and prepared numerous reports, particularly in respect of child care institutions. He has been a part of several District Court level, High Court Level and Supreme Court Level Committees and has attended and participated in several local, regional, national & international conferences.
